Two days ago Apple had a little San Francisco shindig to announce the release of their newest iPad. Sadly when the slide displaying the third-generation iOS tablet’s wireless partners was displayed, Sprint appeared to be missing from the bunch. This led many (including us) to believe that the Now Network had been snubbed and it was assumed that the lack of a live LTE network and additional expenses may have been the cause.
However, if the image pictured above is believed to be true, the story of the Sprint iPad may not be over. The screenshot claims to be from a Best Buy database and if you take a closer look, you’ll almost instantly notice that it holds a listing of “SPRINT IPAD NEW 2.” Now before you hightail it down to your local Best Buy to put in your pre-order, this could very well be nothing more than a placeholder. But with Sprint giving away 30 LTE devices sometime this spring, we should have a better idea of with their new 4G endeavors have in store.
